Ostriches have only a few close friends.
In the warm Savanna, Ostriches graze with gaz around them to help warn ostriches of predators and make sure they get away safely. This relationship is known as mutualism. The ostriches can see the predators in the long tall grass of Africa very well, and the gazelles can hear the predators a long ways away.
Ostriches also have a relationship with the Zebra for almost the same reasons. The ostrich, of course, has a great sense of sight. The zebra and hear, and smell animals from very far away. They both live together along with gazelles. Together, they make a great defense.
The last well known relationship with ostriches is the wildebeest. The wildebeest has long horns comeing out its front, and can easily defend off predators while the ostrich, zebra, and gazelles get away.
All together, these animals (Ostrich, Zebra, Gazelle, Wildebeest) can make the best defense group in the African savanna. All species have a good wild population rate because of their methods of survival. Ostrich relationships have kept it alive for ages.
